I saw other products also can hold months of video. Does Webcam WatchdogX or NetCamCenter really do any better on this?
You may want to check out on what conditions it can hold months of video. E.g. frame rate, resolution, video quality and motion detection. Many does so by recording at, say, 1 frame every 5 seconds instead of 10 frames per second, or 160×120 (19200 pixels) resolution instead of 320×240 (76800 pixels) resolution. Some assume you use motion triggered recording or assume objects on the screen does not move or rarely move, which actually may not be able to help in most of the situations.
