One way to fix is to try a restored older version of the /fp/termcap file. However, the recommended way is to fix the graphics on the console by commenting out the line: /usr/bin/mapchan -a 2&>/dev/null from the /etc/rc.d/6/kinit file. This will take effect after you reboot the computer.
