I received an email from Book Adventure telling me that my childs account was locked for 30 minutes. My child wasnt on the Book Adventure site, so why am I getting this message?
You received this message because a user tried to log in using your childs user name. After 5 tries the person could not match the password correctly, so your childs account was locked. Please keep in mind that we have more than 3 million children who use this site. They dont always remember their log in information accurately (sometimes the adults dont either!) and they try what they think their log in information is. If they cannot match the password correctly in 5 attempts, they are locked out of the site. The correct information is then sent to the e-mail address linked to the user name they were entering. If that was one of yours, then you get the e-mail. This prevents someone from accidentally getting into your childs account.
