I received a ticket and went to school to avoid the points. Why does that not show up on my three-year or seven-year Florida driving record?
The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (DHSMV) three-year and seven-year Florida driving records only indicate infractions that are adjudicated (settled by a judge or court). For example, if you had a Florida driving infraction, and paid the fine, your Florida Driving Record would indicate the date of DISPOSITION of the ticket by the courts and the number of points assessed. If however, you received a ticket and went to a Florida driving school, then NO points were assessed (Adjudication Withheld), your three-year and seven-year Florida Driving Record will look clean. Non-moving violations generally carry zero points, but usually appear on your Florida Driving Record because they are adjudicated.
