ISSSP’s email system does not accept Non-ASCII characters. The system doesn’t know what to do with the non-ASCII character, so it prints a question mark. These special characters are introduced into the process by word processing software. A sample list of problem characters can be found in Microsoft Word’s AutoCorrect Options.
