I received a notice in August 2008 that included a proof of claim form, but my claim was disallowed because I was not a class member. Why?
The notice that was provided in August 2008 was sent to everyone who may be entitled to recovery under the Settlement Agreement. However, not everyone who received the notice was in fact entitled to a recovery. As discussed in the initial class notice, only those individuals who were charged a flood certification fee during the relevant time periods are members of the settlement class.
