I received a letter from Citibank about the Subway Trial program being suspended, how does that affect me?
As you are aware, the Subway Trial program has been suspended on May 31, 2009. If you are a Pre-Pay account customer the automatic reload service will be deactivated on May 15, 2009 and you can spend down your pre-paid account balance. After May 15, if you continue to use your PayPass card/fob to ride after your Pre-Paid account balance is gone the rides will be treated as Pay-As-You-Go and you will be billed for the full $2.00 fare for each ride. If you have any balances remaining in your pre-paid transit account you will be issued a credit to your Citibank credit/debit account. Pay-As-You-Go customers will have no changes in their service other than the suspension of the Subway Trial program on May 31, 2009. Subway Trial program participants will be able to view their ride history on the website until June 30, 2009.
