I received a District Court traffic infraction (ticket). How can I request a hearing?
If you agree that you committed the violation but would like to explain the circumstances, mark the second box on the back of the ticket for a mitigation hearing. This hearing is to explain the circumstances, not to argue that you did not commit the violation. The Court will notify Department of Licensing that you committed this violation. If you believe you did not commit the violation, mark the third box on the back of the ticket for a contested hearing. To receive a hearing date, you must either appear in person or mail your copy of the ticket to Ferry County District Court, 350 East Delaware #6, Republic, Washington 99166-9747 within 15 days of the violation date. The court will mail you a notice with a hearing date.
