I receive an error message; “Failed to load control COMDLG32.OCX. Your version of COMDLG32.OCX may be outdated” when trying to run the practice exam?
These errors often have to do with more than one .ocx or .dll file on your system (aka DLL Hell). Operating Systems work best when only one version of a given system file (.ocx, .dll, etc…) are installed at any one time. In most operating systems – Windows 95 and higher – ocx and dll files are stored in the %systemroot%\system32 folder. For example C:\WINNT\system32 or C:\windows\system32.
