I realized I made a mistake on the return I just submitted using My Tax Account. How long do I have to correct the return before having to file an amended return to correct the mistake?
Pending return requests will be listed as “Pending…” in the Return Status column and will have a “View Request” hyperlink available. Click on this hyperlink to make changes or to withdraw the request. On business days return requests are processed at 4:00 p.m. CST. Once the request is processed and the “View Request” hyperlink is gone you will no longer be able to withdraw or change the return, and must file an amended return.
