No. The xbox filesystem (FATX) is different therefore unreadable on a FAT16/FAT32/NTFS (Windows) machine. A2. That is mostly correct. However a linux pc with the xbox fatx kernel patches applied *may* be able to restore the original desktop *if* the softmod made a backup of the original dashboard. However it would probably be easier to run the softmod again and use its own restore option.
