I read about seeders, trackers, leechers etc. What/who are they?
A seeder is the user who has the show to begin with and wants to share it. In this case, me. Leechers are users who are downloading the BitTorrent and have less than 100% of it. When the user completes 100% of the download, they will become a seeder. The availability and speed of the BitTorrent will depend upon these new seeders to continue to upload the BitTorrent. This is why it’s very important to keep your window open as long as you can so everyone can enjoy the shows. Here’s some common terms used by BitTorrent: Uploader: The person who uploaded the .torrent file to WWW server. There can be only one uploader per torrent (of course – the same torrent exists only once) Seeder: A person who shares a full copy of the torrent data to others.
