A letter from the Transportation office or official driving record from your jurisdiction is also acceptable. The letter must confirm the date first licensed and the length of time you have been driving and that your driver’s licence is not expired or under suspension. The letter must not be more than 6 months old at the time of application. Please be advised that the following United States jurisdictions: Illinois, New Jersey including non-commercial licence holders from Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, Maine, Minnesota, South Carolina, Texas, Utah and Vermont must provide a driving abstract from their jurisdiction dated within 6 months confirming their driving experience irregardless of whether their license shows proof of experience.
