Teachers who gained qualified teacher status (QTS) in England or Wales are eligible to provide one-to-one tuition in schools in England. Teachers who gained QTS outside England or Wales (including Scotland and Northern Ireland) would need to provide written confirmation from the General Teaching Council for England (GTCE) that their qualification is equivalent to QTS. Please e-mail: tqanswer@gtce.org.uk if necessary.
