I put a cdrom/usb stick in the drive but I can see the icon?
As of Kiddix version 1.0.42 (released April 2009), when a CD-ROM or USB stick is inserted in the computer, an icon should automatically appear on the left bar on the kids desktop. Earlier versions of Kiddix will use the filemanager to display device icons. If are using an earlier version of Kiddix, either update to the latest version, or try pressing the reload button on the filemanager toolbar a few times until the device appears.
