I purchased a new home in January 2007, but neglected to file for my disabled veterans exemption within 30 days of receiving the supplemental tax bill. What will my late-filing penalty be?

• I purchased a home in September 2006 and filed for the low-income disabled veterans’ exemption on January 6, 2007. Because I filed late, the county assessor granted 85 percent of the exemption on the 2006-2007 regular roll. I later received a supplemental assessment notice in April 2007 for $210,000. Since I already filed for the exemption in January, will I be allowed the remaining 15 percent of the exemption on the supplemental tax bill?
