I purchased a BR05DAB with good heavy duty batteries and in Standby they go flat over night. How do I stop this from happening?

The BR05DAB has 2 power modes; Stanby and Power Off. During Standby mode, the power consumption is upto 0.5 watts and will flatten the battery after 12 hours. Power Off is the recommended power mode if you wish to use battery power for this model. During Power Off mode, the power consumption is very minimal, and the battery can be used upto 3 months. To enter Power Off mode, press and hold the Power Button for 3 seconds and the unit will go into Power Mode.
