I prepared my article for an AMS journal [or proceedings volume] using the LaTeX “article” [or “proc”] document class, and have been asked to convert it to AMS-LaTeX. How can I do that?
• For all AMS publications, a template file is included in the relevant AMS author package. For journals, the template is specific to the journal. For book proceedings, the template is generic, applying to all proceedings articles. • Articles for AMS publications differ from the LaTeX article and proc styles mainly in the top matter fields (title, author, address, etc.). If you change these fields to the form specified in the AMS templates, most of the necessary conversion will be done. • Proceed to process the article and attend to any problems that may be reported. Be aware that the packages amsmath and amsthm are automatically included in AMS document classes, so they need not be loaded again.
