You should contact the GMC and visit their website to obtain information about the requirements you will need to satisfy to revalidate. The College anticipates that you will need to participate in the CPD programme which most reflects your practice and that a medical practitioner’s revalidation will be subject to confirmation by their Royal College or professional body that the doctor has met the requirements of their CPD programme. You will need to demonstrate that you are following the standards set for obstetricians and gynaecologists within your area of practice and you should be able to take appropriate evidence to your appraisal as required. If you are participating in the UK CPD programme as an overseas participant and move to the UK, you will need to accrue at least 10 local category credits per year in the UK, even if you have already reached your minimum requirement of 50 outside the UK.
