I plan to look for a flat on arrival. How far in advance should I plan to arrive, prior to the beginning of the semester?
We recommend you arrive 1-2 weeks early (though it can more or less time to find a flat) because there will be many students looking for flats at the beginning of the semester. Arriving early also allows you some time to take care of necessary errands and settle in (e.g. matriculation, flat, registering with a GP (Doctor), bank account, learning your way around) before you have to start attending classes.
