Adding more Elixar SkyBox remote processing units (RPUs) is as easy as installing the first one-it takes about 10 minutes to install and configure, even at remote facilities. Even better is that AirTraf 2.0 will not bog down your network by continuously sending raw data to a central server. AirTraf uses a truly distributed processing architecture (not just a geographically distributed sensor system as is the case with other solutions). Each Elixar RPU analyzes and summarizes the data at the capture point, deciding independently when to relay only the pertinent data back to Elixar’s server. This dramatically reduces network overhead, allowing the system as a whole to scale and meet the needs of even the largest and busiest networks. A security and performance monitoring system should add functionality to your network – not saturate it.
