A. The initial, nonrefundable visa application fee is paid by all nonimmigrant visa (NIV) applicants. If you are found eligible for a visa there may be an additional issuance or “reciprocity” fee that is determined by the fees that your country of citizenship charges U.S. citizens for similar visas. There is an E visa reciprocity fee for Canadian citizens. All visa fees are in USD and listed at http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/fees/fees_1341.html.
