I ordered heavy density and should have ordered medium density, now my unit is to thick, can I thin my hair unit myself?
First and foremost we recommend going to a beauty professional! Remember: Once cut always cut and the hair will not grow back! We have had clients attempt to cut and thin hair units on their own and it ended up a disaster. Thinning sometimes requires an artistic hand to cut and thin in the right areas to prevent a blunt or short spot in the hair unit and it being perfectly blended so someone cannot tell your unit was thinned. You can buy a pair of thinning shears at Sally’s Beauty Supplies or any beauty supply shop that sells to the public (at some of the supply shops you have to have a hair dressing license to purchase supplies), or you may be able to buy them online! They sell for about twenty dollars U.S. Don’t get cheap ones because they really don’t cut well. To thin a hair unit, cut very close to the cap just once. That means to cut once right through the hair. Then go to a different spot….and so on. You need to be very careful to cut the under layers so that the top layer of h
