Nothing. The scale of synthesis is based on the nominal amount of starting material in the synthesis column at the start of synthesis. As it turns out, for most of the manufacturers of the columns and membranes the loading typically fluctuates by as much as 20-25%. If you receive an oligomer with a lower yield than usual, it doesn’t mean there is anything wrong. However, if you receive an oligomer with a suprisingly higher yield than expected give us the credit for superior synthesis.
