I open a DOC file I know contains highlighted text but the highlighting is gone. What happened?
Unfortunately, this is a result of a deficiency in the Windows software used by Jarte to load DOC files. The highlighting is present in the file but the highlight information is not properly loaded. You will notice WordPad, which uses the same internal editing engine as Jarte, exhibits the same problem. Hopefully, Microsoft will fix the problem in a future release. Meanwhile, you can avoid the problem by saving any documents containing highlighted text as RTF files rather than DOC files. • Why am I having trouble undocking the side tool panel?
