I noticed a network outage in late Summer 2005. Why did that happen?
We bragged for over a year that there had not been even ONE technical glitch since the day we started. Unfortunately, Hurricane Rita hit Texas hard in late Semptember of 2005 near where the web server for Carolina Banner Exchange was located. It did go down and it took a few days for service to be restored. We were asked, if we could be patient, we would be rewarded by having our site moved to a newer and faster server with lots more memory. We took advantage of that offer for the long-term benefit of being on a better server! We apologize for that incident and a delay moving to that new server. Not one member web site quit over that incident. Since then, we have made a major upgrade to our software and moved to an even faster Dedicated Server for a 400% Speed Increase! We’ve also now added in “acts of God” to our Terms of Service agreement (our disclaimer). We do not anticipate that situation (or any other technical problem) ever happening again, but if it does, we will be much better
