I notice that some people have done really cool and stylish things with their forum posts and profiles—like formatting text, posting images, and embedding videos. How do I do that too?
No worries at all, and it’s actually very easy! For images and text, the best way is to use a programming language called Textile, which provides simple text commands to format your text, create a link, or even post a picture. An excellent resource for using Textile can be found here. If you’re still unsure how to use it, check out our support community. Video is a little trickier, but the good news is that sites like YouTube and Vimeo have you covered. If you go to YouTube, there should be a small button under each video labeled “Embed.” If you click on it, it will give you the complete embedding code in HTML. Just copy the code and paste it where you want the video to show up, and you’re good to go. These can be used in both your profile and in forum posts. Those are the basic tools, and there’s lots of room for creativity—just browse around some of our users’ profiles, and we look forward to seeing what you come up with!
