I need to remote control a device that is in the sleep /standby mode and is currently offline. How can I wake up the device and force it to connect to MobiControl?

If your mobile device is not showing up as online in MobiControl Manager and you want to establish a connection at that point in time, you can do so with MobiControl’s Send SMS (to initiate connection to MobiControl) feature. It may be that your mobile device is in a suspended state (sleeping), or the data connection is not active. With the Send SMS (to initiate connection to MobiControl) feature, you can wake up the mobile device and also activate the data connection and have the mobile device connect to MobiControl.
