I think what we all have to realize (especially myself) is that there are often major shortcuts that can be taken to drastically reduce render times. For instance when panning or zooming the camera within your animation, instead of doing it in within the animation program frame by frame, render *one* matte frame, perhaps 4 times larger than your project frame size and *pan/zoom* through it using a production tool like AfterFX, Premiere or now even *Animation Master* Doing a scene pan like this frame by frame (calculating lights, shadows filtering, etc) would have been very expensive timewise within AM. Rendering this in Premiere (image pan filter) took about 2 minutes and exporting it to this MOV file took another 1 minute or so. Granted there are things you lose out on, for instance if i wanted the clouds in the background to move i’m outta luck. However when rendering the original matte scene, an alpha channel could have been used for the buildings then rolling clouds could have been
