No, AFORNET does not award scholarships for study. However, if there is a research element of your training program, and the research will be carried out in Africa, you may apply for an AFORNET grant to cover the research project. Project budget may include scientific equipment, travel and per diem for field studies, payment to data collection personnel, communication, participation in workshops and meetings, purchase of key books and other publications, and costs for publishing and sharing of information, but should not include tuitions, stipends, salaries, and maintenance of four wheel-drives nor travels outside Africa.
