I need cataract surgery in both eyes. Is it best to have both eyes done same day?
No, you shouldn’t have both eyes done in the same day and most doctors won’t do it. If one eye gets infected or there is a problem, you need to rely on the other eye. You should have someone drive you to and from the clinic. They will give you a mild sedative to relax you for surgery and you won’t be able to drive after. You also won’t be able to lift anything for a couple of week which includes vacuuming.
