I need a GOOD idea for a demonstration speech, can u help?
If you have one available, any speech using an animal is great. I like “How to train a dog”. You bring the dog and all eyes are on the animal. The audience relates to both you (perhaps an object of sympathy if the dog responds poorly or an object of admiration if all goes well) and the dog (warms the heart of the audience.)If you are a nervous speaker, you are so busy with the animal you don’t have time to care about the audience. Of course, you must have excellent, researched content including: your method of motivation, detailed breakdown of each componant of the training, dog psychology, perhaps some information on the predisposition of a breed to certain behaviors (Samoyeds bark, Boxers ‘box’ and are easy to train to play piano), information on different ways to accomplish the same goal (if he doesn’t respond to A, try B, then C), and future tricks that build upon the dog’s new knowledge.
