Certainly not. It might be interesting for you to know that when Thousand Oaks General Plan was being formulated, a Citizens Committee composed of local residents like yourself envisioned a ring of natural open space completely surrounding areas of the City proposed for development. Today, three decades later, this goal is being realized with more than 14,000 acres of land containing major ridgelines and scenic canyon lands permanently preserved as open space. This nearly completes the ring as envisioned by the Open Space Element of the City’s General Plan ensuring that the Conejo Valley retains its unique natural beauty.
