I missed class on Friday because of invert trip, so I think some of the upcoming words you said in class. Crest, Y-5, rhinarium?
Crest = ‘valley’ on the teeth, (as opposed to Cusp, the ‘peaks’). Y-5 is the pattern of cusp and crests on the ape molar (5 peaks seperated by three crests that form a Y if you look down on the top of the molar). Rhinarium – means nose. Some primates are divided by the type they have (is it split – like a dog or cats, or is it one piece like your nose).
