I might wonder about the conditions of the lines under the ground.Maybe a leak in the system?
• medicine_man_rn on June 9th, 2009 11:03 pm There might be a possible leak in the underground pipes. to inspect for leaks close the sprinkler heads on that line and turn system on and check to see if and areas on that line have produced wet earth. check sprinkler heads to make sure none are broken and might need replaced. • plumbinator99 on June 12th, 2009 6:41 pm Pop up sprinklers usually incorporate a cone shaped filter placed just below the spray nozzle. Perhaps water flow is pushing debris into the filter and causing the reduced pressure. After the problem station is turned off, the debris may settle down into the piping below and is waiting for the next cycle of plugging up. Check for filter screen clogging with help of a friend. Raise the pop up by hand, remove the spray head nozzle, locate cone shaped filter, remove and clean. With spray nozzle set aside in clean container, hold spring loaded pop up riser while your helper turns on the station for momentary flushing of lines. D
