My cat had kidney failure. He got dehydrated really easily and when this happens to cats, they will not eat. I gave him at-home fluid injections every other day, and they helped a little, but after 6 months of him losing weight, I finally looked at him one day and saw that there was no life in his eyes anymore. He was still alive, but it was like his body was shutting down. I had a long talk with him that night and the next morning, even though it broke my heart to do it, I took him to the vet to have him put to sleep. He was my baby for 11 years and no other cat will ever take his place. Mom says it was probably just my concience, but I had a dream that night of him. In it he was alive and healthy like a kitten again. He actually talked to me and told me that it was okay to let him go. He said it was time. I miss him terribly. It’s been 9 months since it happened and it still hurts. I have all my favorite pictures of him on my dresser so that I can look at him still. Look in your hear
