I meet the required criteria for financial assistance and am planning to attend a specific conference or seminar. What do I need to do?
Contact your Program Specialist as soon as possible, and at least 30 days before the conference or seminar. You will be asked to submit a description of the planned event, including the dates, agenda and costs, and a letter of support form your academic advisor to your Program Specialist. After your request has been reviewed and approved, your Program Specialist can assist you with registration, payments of fees, travel logistics, etc. You will receive a per diem to pay for meals, lodging and local transportation costs.
