The View Activity and Open Job Log buttons allow you to view a snippet of the activity log (for the job in question) or the raw job log. The log in question is opened under a temporary name on your local workstation in Notepad. The View Activity button will open the activity log and search the log for the “start of … operation” for the job number and job date of the clicked row. It copies the log data to a temporary file, including a few lines before the “start of … operation” line, and ending with 100 lines or more after the “job summary” line. The temporary file is written to the ArcLog installation directory, is named ACTTEMP.txt, and is displayed using notepad.exe.
