As mentioned above, people can get very defensive about issues such as whether to cry-it-out or not, and criticizing you might be their way of coping with feelings of guilt or regret. You can politely but firmly thank people for their concern but let them know that you are happy with your choices. Giving an air of confidence (fake it if necessary!) can really help too.
