I live in York County in South Carolina. Is there any agreement to waive out-of-state tuition?
NO There is no agreement at present to waive out of state tuition for residents of York County or any neighboring South Carolina counties. There is the Charlotte Area Educational Consortium. This is a group of 24 regional schools that allow a full-time student on a member campus to enroll on a space available basis for no additional tuition at another member institution campus. You would have to be enrolled full-time at Winthrop University, USC Lancaster or York Technical College to participate. And, consortium students can only take classes at another member school on a space available basis after their home students have registered.
