I like the silver center dashboard trim piece in the 2001-2003 Protegé ES/5. Where can I get this for my 3rd generation Protegé?
If you have a 2001+ model, you can get the silver trim piece kit listed in the 2002 Protegé Performance Accessories. The part number is 0000-88-C02_-KT and retails for $147. This kit also includes the power window control trim, and center console with cup holder trim. The brochure says it is for manual transmission cars only, but you can ignore it because it will fit automatic cars. To install the center console trim piece into an automatic car, you will have to pry (carefully!) off the garnish bezel to remove the original black trim and replace it with the silver one. Remember to reinstall the garnish bezel after installation! If you have a 1999-2000 model, you can still get a silver center dashboard trim piece by importing one from a 1999-2000 Familia S-Wagon Sport20. The layout of the controls is the same and should be a direct fit.
