I launched Eudora this morning and I got a message that said “Mailbox mailboxname has a damaged table of contents. Shall I build a new one?” What do I do?
Each mailbox has a table of contents file associated with it. Sometimes this file becomes corrupt or damaged and needs to be rebuilt. Eudora can usually rebuild the file without any problems although you may notice that mail you had read already is marked as unread or mail that you had deleted or transferred to another mailbox is back in the mailbox. So if you get this alert message just go ahead and let Eudora rebuild the file.
