Nope, official word has not been made regarding whether Joshua is dead or alive. However, because the death of the Dragon Rune bearer would result in the death of all dragons, it is likely that some sort of ritual was performed to remove the rune. Joshua also had the rune for over 200 years, and we know that once a true rune is removed from a bearer who had it so long, they will soon die. Based on what we know about true runes, it is unlikely that Joshua is still alive. However, Konami has changed their story many times in the past, so until there is official word, who knows. There’s probably no way you can know this for sure, but enfin…The resemblance Pesmerga and Yuber have with the enemies known as Mirages is quite striking.
