With a properly sized chlorine generator, you won’t need shock or algaecide and the typical annual cost for salt is $30.00. • My pump and filter are almost new and I don’t want to change them. A chlorine generator does not replace the pump or filter. With such a mild saline solution, whatever equipment you have now is just fine.
