For maximum protection, ZoneAlarm Secure Wireless Router Z100G provides the option of different security protocols. WEP (wireless equivalency privacy) is easy to set up though is less secure than the other alternatives. 802.1X RADIUS authentication, WPA (WiFi Protected Access), WPA-PSK password encryption In addition, the hide network name option (SSID) makes it more difficult for other devices within your neighborhood to discover your networks name and attempt to connect to your network. This is an additional layer of security (but shouldn’t be the only one!) If you do select WEP encryption, the encryption can be set to 64, 128, or 152 bits. We recommend using MAC filtering combined with WPA-PSK password encryption for the ultimate combination of ease of use and peace of mind.
