I keep hearing about the Safety Bus and seeing them, but what is it?

The Safety Bus is a Students’ Union Scheme run by volunteers for the Oxford Brookes and Oxford University students, staff and their guests to ensure they get to their destinations safely at night time. Although Oxford is relatively safe it’s never nice to be out on your own and it can be expensive to get home on your own or if there are only a couple of you in a taxi. The Safety Bus exists to fill the gap between people walking home and having to pay a lot for taxis. It’s also a safe method of transport, and as its run by the Students’ Union you know that if there’s ever a problem, there’s someone to talk to about it.
