I keep getting filthy spam in my in box and its gettig me down how can i stop offensive material getting on to?
Ensure you have your spam filter engaged, several of the E-mail services have them included, also if you use a security suite like Norton or McAfee then these have them too, Also its best not to open mail from people you don’t recognise or with oddly worded subject lines if you open spam then you will get more spam. Finally don’t give out your E-mail address to every site that asks for it and don’t include it in messages or posts on blogs or bulletin boards / forums…
As previously mentioned, Yahoo’s Spam Guard is only effective for e-mails being sent from the same source. Seems like as soon as you add a sender to your spam list, they just change the header and send it again (Middle Eastern crap especially). It would be nice if Yahoo pre-filtered some of the unsolicited messages we get, but from my experience this obviously isn’t being done.
