I keep clicking the hand buttons but the pedigree won follow the correct descendent. What am I doing wrong?
A. If you have been unable to follow the preferred generation by using the hand buttons, it is probably because the wrong child has been set as the lineage child. Since our pedigree chart shows a family in each position instead of an individual, to go from generation to generation, the display follows the lineage child. The system automatically sets by default the oldest child as the lineage child. That’s because our pedigree displays families, so individuals not associated with a spouse would only display as an individual in their birth family on the family group record.
