I think it would be more useful, so long as it is legit. The problem I have with user review sites as they are now, is that for one thing, they tend to get polluted with reviews from folks who either work for the company (and therefore write unwarranted shining reviews), or the competition (and write unwarranted negative ones), or users who don’t write balanced reviews (like why can’t they tell us what’s good about the product instead of just dwelling on the bad). If you could talk to verified owners, it gives you the chance to ask lots of questions based on your own criteria, instead of depending on a review that only satisfies what’s important to them.

Most likely, it will definitely be better to get a face to face kind of thing going, rather than reading a user review, it will be better to speak to someone who has used the product, so you can ask questions and so on…
