A19. Just treat them like a house plants until spring. The only thing you need to do is put them in a pot big enough to cover the root plug. The tops may or may not start to grow. It is better if they stay dormant. The roots will grow in the pots. When you plant them out in warm ground in the spring, dig holes larger than your pots. Bury at least 4″ of the stems in the ground so the plants can branch out from the bottom of the stems below ground level. This will give you a nice bush that can be easily pruned if necessary in a few years, and have more production. If the plants are too small to bury to a depth of 4 inches, plant them in a trench that can be filled in as the plant grows, so the end effect is 4″ of stem is below the surface. Keep them watered until the end of July, and weed free.
